The Injured Jockey Fund
(Revised 1/7/98)
This fund was established 20.19.1996 by Lord Janix of Tramson Castle. Contributors
may make donations at any time, but the major source of income is the Tramson
Castle Year End Raffle.
Monies in the fund will be distributed as follows:
- In the case of an injury to the jockey, the fund will be used to pay for any medical
costs incurred.
- If the jockey is incapacitated despite the efforts of healers, the jockey will receive
25 gold pieces per Turn he/she is unable to ride.
- If the injury is career-ending despite the efforts of healers, a lump sum of 100 gold
pieces will be paid.
- If the injury results in death, a lump sum of 100 gold pieces to a spouse or parent
and 50 gold pieces to each surviving child will be paid to the jockey's surviving family
members.
Currently, the fund contains 5654 gold pieces.
