Greetings!
By popular request, I thought I'd take a few moments this month to talk about Bonding with mutant dragons.
A couple of people have noticed that most people who Bonded with mutants did it all on the same day and more or less by accident. This is because of an event that occurs in Dragonking. Shane and Miranda get into a Battle of Wizards, which results in--among other things--a mountain exploding and hundreds of mutant eggs all hatching at once. The eggs were lobbed all over Daethia (including the Great Woods), and people in the vicinity had a high percentage chance of finding themselves accidentally Bonded to a mutant because of a spell placed on the eggs by the White Wolf. If someone chose not to remain Bonded, Shashtah could break the Bond. But most folks figured that this was their one and only chance to get a dragon, so they decided to go to Rashtar for training.
Prior to that day, many mutant eggs were laid in the White Wolf's Magic Room. Shashtah and company raised those mutants to adulthood. Several of the mixed-race youngsters in the Magic Room chose to Bond with mutants. These Bondings took place within a three-day span and represent the second largest group of mutant Riders.
Since then, several other mutants have Hatched, and Shashtah offers them to potential Riders who are not qualified to Bond with a True Bronze. The Riders who accept these mutants go through a modified Bonding process that was pioneered by Quatar and Peri.
For more details, I encourage you all to read the Centuria series! Just ask me for the volumes, and I'll send them to you. (This offer is only available to members of Dragonlords, so you really ought to take advantage of it <G>.)

Since no designs have been submitted for a club T-shirt, we have put this project on hold until at least two designs are submitted.
If you would like to submit a design for the club T-shirt, send your suggestion in .gif or .jpg
format to Dragonlord Krin at
Legend@malcor.com. Try to keep your design suggestions to
four colors or less, since that will significantly cut our costs.
As soon as two submissions are received, Krin will put the suggestions up on a
webpage so we can vote on what we like best. Once the design is chosen, Krin will put up a
sign-up sheet so we can see how many people actually want the shirts. Pricing will vary,
depending on how many shirts are ordered.
