to each event. We don't want to clutter your mailboxes with all of
this data, so please make use of the website as much as you can.

Greetings!
Since I'm getting this newsletter out so abysmally late, I'm going to keep this short.
In a few days I hope to post the materials for the upcoming event. These will include horse and camel races at Sandy Plains castle. As I prepare the raceforms, I sense that there's a bit of confusion about this activity, so let me take a stab at explaining what's going on.
Currently, Dragonlords does not have a Banker. This person would be in charge of the fictional money/treasure possessed by our characters. If we ever get such a person, we will begin to pay more attention to the economics of Centuria, which can be quite interesting.
In the interim, you are allowed to simply "wing it" when it comes to your character's finances. If you have a servant who wants to buy a magic tome or an apprentice who thinks he can afford a king's crown or a beginning fighter who decides to buy a castle, I'm going to object. Such purchases would be out of line with your character's economic level. But if you have a character who wants to bet a gold piece on a horse or camel race, that's perfectly all right. In fact, most Dragonriders could bet the minimum on every race without batting an eye. This is one way that characters can increase their wealth, so that your characters might wind up more well-to-do when someone bothers to sit down and figure out this aspect of our world than they would be if you do nothing.
Betting on the races also makes for conversation and gives you something to do during RPs (cheering for your favorite racers). Your character does not have to own racers to bet on the races. And you do not have to attend to win or to lose.
If you have more questions about the racing program at Dragonlords, message me at Legend@malcor.com. You can find additional information about the economic system for the RPs at http://www.dragonlordsnet.com/bank.htm.

We need stories and art for Awaken the Dragons!, the fanzine for Ryanon's Base Camp. The next deadline is June 30th (though we are currently still accepting stories for the March 31st issue--which is actually a double issue with the December 31st 'zine--my move seriously interfered with the amount of time I had to edit).
Send stories or poems to Lady Zara at amberfocus@hotmail.com. Artwork should be sent directly to Brass Dragon Majidah at SlideNSpin@aol.com. Remember, you need to file a release form with L.A. Malcor prior to the publication of the 'zine if you contribute text. (No release is necessary for artwork.) Release forms are available online at

Please remember to send all submissions in ASCII or .TXT format.

Dragonlords' T-shirt
Dragonlords has covered its expenses and is starting to earn enough money for us to do something fun for our members. The BOD has decided that what we would like to do with the extra money is subsidize T-shirts for all members of the club (We may be able to buy the shirts outright for people; it depends on how many folks want them.).
If you would like to submit a design for the club T-shirt, send your
suggestion in .gif or .jpg format to Dragonlord Krin at Legend@malcor.com.
Try to keep your design suggestions to four colors or less, since
that will significantly cut our costs. Since we received no submissions
the first time we tried this, let's try it again
Dragonlords sent two rainbow pencils for Valentine’s Day to every
member for whom we had a snail mail address. (David, yours got
chewed up and returned to me, so I re-sent. Sorry for the delay.)
If you have not received your pencils and would like them, contact
Dragonlord Krin with a snail mail address to which they can be sent.
Until next forum,
