Welcome to the Dragonlords of Dumnonia newsletter for Ryanon's Base Camp. The following is information to keep you up-to-date on what's happening around Centuria. Good luck to you in battle or adventure.

Big important Note:

These are upcoming online events. Please check the message board
on the main site and the events schedule on the Members
Only site frequently. Dates do change
occasionally, and other information you need to enjoy the RPs is linked
to each event. We don't want to clutter your mailboxes with all of
this data, so please make use of the website as much as you can.
Special Note: The next RP will be held on IRC on channel #Centuria, 6 PM PST. Make sure you have your software installed before then and that it's working. Message Online Coordinator Exercise Master Krin at Legend@malcor.com if you have any problems.

Note that we still need two plots for the November event. If you have suggestions for additional plots or for other activities that you would like to see during the online RP sessions, contact the online coordinator, Exercise Master Krin, at Legend@malcor.com.
If you haven't already done so, you can pick up your Orientation Pak at the Members Only site. (If you are a member and don't know where that is, ask Krin.

Here are the characters who are currently available for adoption. Message Exercise Master Krin at Legend@malcor.com if you'd like to give any of these folks a home!

Greetings!
Ah, the Feast of Plenty! A celebration that honors Zed. Who's he? Why, he's the Lord of Plenty! Circular definition, I know. But, trust me on this one, you really don't ever want to meet the gent. He's theoretically one of the "good guys", but he's probably the scariest individual on the planet!
Despite protestations to the contrary, Zed is not a Mirari. There isn't a drop of divine blood in his veins. He's simply a very, very powerful Wizard of Corin who happened to specialize his magic instead of becoming a generalist. Zed is the son of Shane and Cobal of Corin. Shane, the Great Wizard before Miranda, possessed extremely powerful, often uncontrolled, and viciously destructive magic. In contrast, her son is into creative magic; the Lord of Plenty provides food and drink to others. The drawback is that he has his mother's rotten temper along with what is presumed to be a perpetual hangover. Visit his castle, and prepare to become a smudge on his dining room wall. Pray to him for food or drink, and he may grant your request. If he feels like it. Which he usually doesn't. (Since Shane's resurrection, she's been living with her son, which hasn't improved his temper in the slightest. Cobal, Zed's father, spends his time permanently hiding near Ailan, the White Wolf, who is the only Wizard known to be able to contain Shane's-and presumably Zed's-power. (Note: Yes, Zed is human. Yes, he's still alive after roughly two millennia. People say something he drinks is responsible for his longevity. Characters who partake of food and drink provided by the Lord of Plenty should be wary; they may wind up with an abnormal lifespan--longer, or potentially shorter, depending on Zed's mood.)
Of all the monarchs in the League of Nations, only Farador is really on speaking terms with Zed, as evidenced by the abundance of food in the Elven Kingdom. Lord Juel gambles with the Lord of Plenty upon occasion, and Crown Prince Treigo gleefully directs his army of thieves to steal from Zed whenever the endeavor seems profitable (The Krills will trade with the Lord of Plenty for food upon occasion as well.). King Jochiah deals through the Elven Kingdom rather than talking to Zed directly, and that's Dragonking Shashtah's preferred channel as well. Lady Miranda does her best to pretend Zed doesn't exist. The White Wolf-well, no one is exactly sure why the Lord of Plenty does so many favors for the White Wolf, though self preservation has come to many minds.
Zed's Castle is situated in the foothills of the Dragon's Back Mountains east of Krillion. It's a place where only extremely desperate or extremely deranged people dare to venture. The castle alternates between being a place of bacchanalian revels and being a silent tomb where even the insects fear the Lord's latest hangover.
Zed is a sworn bachelor who cares for no one but himself. He has absolutely no interest in the War as long as the parties involved have the good sense to leave him alone. Though he is considered by many to be a god, because of his godlike powers, virtually no one on Centuria prefers to worship him. Yet no race dares to ignore him completely. His color is the ruby red of a fine wine.
And there you have a brief portrait of the Lord of Plenty, whose feast we will celebrate at the next event. (Don't forget that if you want more details about Centuria, members of Dragonlords are entitled to read the novels and short stories by L.A. Malcor. Contact me at Legend@malcor.com if you would like copies.)

"DRAGONPROPHET" PUBLISHED!
The first of the Centuria stories was published online by Eternity Magazine.
Please show up and vote for it as the best story in the issue <G>. (The issue was supposed to be live as of October 20th, but, last I checked, the September issue was still in place. I'll message the club when the October issue goes online.)
Also, remember that members of Dragonlords are entitled to read the completed, yet unpublished, Centuria stories. Contact Exercise Master Krin at Legend@malcor.com for your copies.
Other Publication News.
"The Seven Year Hitch," a non-Centuria fantasy short story by L.A. Malcor will be published in the November issue of Millennium Magazine. For this and other publication news, visit L.A. Malcor's author page at:
Dragonlords' Webring.
Several people have mentioned the possibility of forming a webring for members of Dragonlords. If you are interested in this activity, please contact Exercise Master Krin at Legend@malcor.com. We will need original artwork for such a ring. Please let me know if you can contribute. Perhaps we can have an artwork contest if several people submit ideas.

Is anyone interested in looking into the possibility of creating a
Dragonlords' T-shirt? We could have an art contest for this as well.
It's unlikely at the moment that the bookstore and video store will
generate enough funds that we can provide T-shirts to members for free,
but it's possible that that could happen some day. Message me at
