Golden Grove used to be called "The Herald's Hall of California". The chapter was founded in October 1989 by Christa Miller, which makes it one of the oldest chapters of QO. The original newsletter was called "The California Arrow". The "Arrow" came out bimonthly and included con dates, book reviews, biographies of members, places to go, and so forth.
